The Challenge.

Sustainability is complex. But in order to drive internal or external change, we have to communicate in a simplified way. Educating an entire organization and inspiring action requires engaging communication especially in a design-driven company. „We have a lot of creative minds here. They need a hook,“ explains Begüm Kürkçü, Sr. Global Director for Sustainability at On. The challenge was clear: how to effectively steer an entire organization and inspire teams to build more sustainable products without losing them in technical complexity.


The Solution.

Sustainability Strategy that stands out and sparks excitement

„We started with an important document for us, which was the responsible manufacturing blueprint,“ shares Sammy-Jo Liefveld, Head of Sustainability Strategy at On.

On had gathered extensive data and stakeholder insights. Nayture helped structure their thinking and strategize what their new sustainability approach would look like, including the targets On wanted to set. Over the last couple of months, this collaboration grew into a partnership were we worked on the tone of voice and the look and feel for both internal and external sustainability communication.

We worked on the narrative of sustainability and created several documents and videos for internal stakeholders that serve as tools and get people interested in sustainability practices. The feedback that the sustainability team received for that content reflected that these efforts pay off: „One feedback we actually got from our design team and they said ‚wow, this is such a beautiful document. I haven’t seen such a nice On document ever.‘ And this person has worked for 8 to 9 years with On already.“ shares Philipp Engels, Product Sustainability Sr. Lead.
